In 2017 we presented our most ambitious program ever: a year-long celebration of the best cult films of all time, selected by a national panel of experts and curated by Gateway Film Foundation CEO Chris Hamel. More than 10,000 people attended these presentations and the Film Center received attention from film fans all over the world.

Now, the groundbreaking series, by film lovers for film lovers, returns.

Once again curated by Hamel and his team, Cult 101 will continue to showcase the art form with fan-favorite 4K restorations and select presentations on 35mm and 70mm film. This new edition includes stories which achieved significant acknowledgment after their theatrical release, and those which have transcended from a movie to a cultural phenomenon.
