Jenn Wexler is a writer and director, whose directorial debut, The Ranger (2018), had its World Premiere at the SXSW Film Festival, screened at the Museum of Modern Art, and was released by AMC’s Shudder. Her latest feature, The Sacrifice Game (2023), starring Mena Massoud and Olivia Scott Welch, had its World Premiere at Fantasia Film Festival, its International Premiere at FrightFest UK (Closing Night Film), and its U.S. Premiere at Fantastic Fest. In television, she’s directed for The CW’s Pandora and TruTV’s Late Night Snack. Wexler also produced acclaimed and award-winning genre films including Depraved (2019), Darling (2015), Like Me (2017), and Most Beautiful Island (2017), which was nominated for the Independent Spirit John Cassavetes Award and won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Feature at SXSW. Hope Madden is a lifelong horror fan, author and film critic who made her feature film debut with the horror comedy Obstacle Corpse (2022), the first feature film from MaddWolf Productions. In addition to 12 years at The Other Paper, Madden has written for Columbus Monthly, The Ohio State University Alumni Magazine, Columbus Underground, the UK Film Review, and is a published poet. Plus, her first novel Roost is out now, as is the anthology Incubate, which includes her short story “Aggrieved.” Along with George Wolf, Madden hosts Fright Club Live, the monthly extension of their award-winning horror podcast series, Fright Club. She presented Obstacle Corpse (2022) at the 2022 Nightmares Film Festival, the 2023 Cinema Columbus Film Festival, and multiple other festivals throughout the United States. More from Hope Madden.
