Temporary Closure Effective March 16–April 3

March 15, 2020

Effective tomorrow, Monday, March 16, Gateway Film Center will close and suspend our programming until Friday, April 3. This has been an incredibly difficult but necessary decision. It is our responsibility to act in the best interest of our community.  As a supporter of the Film Center, you know that film has the ability to inspire and bring people together. It is deeply reassuring to know our work will continue after this crisis. If you are able, we hope you will consider a donation or membership in support of our work.  We look forward to welcoming you back to the Film Center.  All the best,  Chris Hamel, President

March 12, 2020

As a result of the executive order issued today by Governor DeWine, Gateway Film Center is reducing the capacity of our theater. No screening room will hold more than 100 people. We are continuing to monitor developments, and following The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Ohio Department of Health and state and local guidelines to proactively protect the health and well-being of visitors and staff. If you have purchased tickets and would like a refund, please call our Ticket Center at 614-247-4433 or email [email protected] for assistance. If you have a fever, cough or sore throat, please do not come to the Film Center.  The Film Center is non-profit cinema. Your movie-going, support and donations help make our work possible.  The most up-to-date screening schedules and announcements are available on our website. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this public health crisis.  Stay well, Chris Hamel, President
