About the film:
Workaholic yuppie Conor Sweeney has a dilemma: no one in his life respects him. Not his boss, not his coworkers, not even his wife Kristina, who thinks she’s an uptight “square”. Conor sees no way out of this existential rut until one night channel-surfing he catches a bizarre ad for a party hotline hosted by a strange dancing goblin: Frankie Freako. Conor is entranced by Frankie’s promises of wild and freaky adventures, just a phone call away. Could this be the recipe to spice up his flavorless life? Home alone for the weekend, Conor works up the courage to dial the number for the Frankie Freako hotline. As soon as the call connects, it unleashes chaos into his white-collar world, releasing Frankie and his troublemaker friends from their dimensional prison. It’s a race against time as Conor must defeat the rambunctious ruffians and clean up their trail of destruction before Kristina returns from her trip, all while going on an unexpected journey of self-discovery.
“It’s delightful, it’s silly, and it’s often extremely entertaining.”

About the filmmaker:
Since 2004, Steven Kostanski has ricocheted between low-budget horror and blockbuster sci-fi as both a prolific filmmaker and prosthetic makeup effects artist. Cutting his teeth in FX at the age of 17 on the horror film Tamara (2005) where he worked under famed monster-maker Doug Morrow, he has since worked under Paul Jones (Resident Evil: Retribution [2012]) and Guillermo Del Toro (Crimson Peak [2015]), while also steadily writing and directing numerous short films and features that have played festivals worldwide. His debut feature Manborg (2011), released by Raven Banner, was produced with the filmmaker collective ASTRON-6, and earned him an invitation to participate in the popular anthology film The ABC’s of Death in 2014. He and fellow Aston-6 filmmaker Jeremy Gillespie co-wrote and co-directed the break-out indie horror hit The Void (2016) on the heels of a wildly successful crowdfunding campaign. In 2018, Kostanski was entrusted by SyFy and Lionsgate with reigniting the iconic Leprechaun franchise, and many fans and critics have hailed his sequel Leprechaun Returns (2018) as among the best in the series since the 1993 original. Kostanski also directed and executive-produced the first four episodes of the SyFy original series Day of the Dead in 2020, based on the George Romero zombie film from 1985. His latest film Psycho Goreman (2020) has garnered critical and audience acclaim, earning numerous accolades.
