When the warrior Imperator Furiosa (Charlize Theron) leads the despot’s five wives in a daring escape, she forges an alliance with Max Rockatansky (Tom Hardy), a loner and former captive. About the filmmaker:
George Miller is an award-winning Australian director, producer, screenwriter, and former emergency medical doctor. He’s best known for creating the Mad Max franchise, which began in 1979 and includes Mad Max 2 (1981), Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome (1985), and Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). Miller’s career-defining hit, Mad Max, was partly inspired by the chaos he witnessed as a doctor and accidents he saw as a child.
