About the filmmaker:
Nicole Holofcener is an American film and television director and screenwriter. She has directed seven feature films, including Walking and Talking (1996), Friends with Money (2006) and Enough Said (2013) starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, as well as numerous television series, including Mrs. Fletcher, Enlightened, and the upcoming Extrapolations. For co-writing the screenplay of Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2018) alongside Jeff Whitty, Holofcener received a 2019 Academy Award nomination for Adapted Screenplay, a BAFTA nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay, and won the Writers Guild of America Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. With Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, she co-wrote the screenplay for The Last Duel (2021).
