About the filmmaker:
Writer-director Kate Dolan graduated from one of the top global film schools, the National Film School at IADT, and began crafting commercials and music videos. After being selected for Berlinale Talents, she wrote and directed the short film Little Doll, which premiered at the Berlinale in 2016. Funded by Screen Ireland, her 2017 short film Catcalls screened at international festivals including BFI London, Fantastic Fest and Fantasia, winning Best Short Film at the Young Director Awards Ireland 2018. She was selected to take part in the Guiding Lights, a mentoring program for filmmakers in the United Kingdom, and in 2019 was listed as one of Ireland’s leading emerging creatives under 30.
Inspired by the ancient mythology of the changeling, I Am Not Your Mother is her debut feature.
