About the filmmaker:
Demián Rugna is from Buenos Aires, Argentina and is a writer, editor, and director known for his work in the horror genre. His features include Terrified (2017)—named Fantastic Fest’s best horror feature in 2017—The Last Gateway (2007), and You Don’t Know Who You’re Talking To (2016). His fifth feature, When Evil Lurks (2023), premiered at the Toronto Film Festival’s infamous Midnight Madness section. Rugna was also part of the team of directors behind the award-winning horror anthology Satanic Hispanics (2022).
