About the film:
Urchin is the debut feature from actor-turned-filmmaker Harris Dickinson. He tells the story of Mike (played by Frank Dillane), a London man living on the margins of society, battling addiction and homelessness. After a violent incident lands him in prison, Mike attempts to rebuild his life—entering rehab, taking low-wage jobs, reconnecting with others, and striving for sobriety. But as he works to reintegrate, his past decisions and impulses continue to haunt him, making redemption a fragile and elusive goal.
The film premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, where Dickinson won the FIPRESCI Prize and Dillane took home the Un Certain Regard Best Actor award.



About the filmmaker:
Harris Dickinson is an English actor and filmmaker. He earned critical acclaim for his breakout role in Beach Rats (2017), and has since starred in films including Triangle of Sadness, The Iron Claw, and Babygirl. In 2025, Dickinson made his feature directorial debut with Urchin, which premiered in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard and won him the FIPRESCI Prize.
