About the filmmaker:

M. Night Shyamalan is an Indian-American filmmaker and actor best known for making original films with contemporary supernatural plots and twist endings, beginning with his breakthrough film The Sixth Sense (1999), which received six Academy Award nominations including Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. He has crafted 13 additional feature films including Unbreakable (2000), Signs (2002), The Village (2004), The Happening (2008), Split (2016), Glass (2019), and Knock at the Cabin (2023).
