About the filmmaker:
Guillem Morales is a BAFTA Award-winning writer and director from Barcelona, Spain with an extensive career in TV and film. He is well-known for his short film, Back Room (1999), which won numerous awards at festivals around the world, including Best Short Film at the 2000 Stockholm Film Festival. His feature films The Uninvited Guest (2004) and Julia’s Eyes (2010) screened at festivals internationally garnered nominations for various prestigious awards. In 2021, Morales won the BAFTA Award for Best Scripted Comedy with his TV series, Inside No. 9. His latest film, The Wasp (2024), premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival.
