Xander Robin is an American filmmaker known for his offbeat, psychologically layered storytelling and distinctive visual style. He made his feature directorial debut with Are We Not Cats (2016), a darkly surreal genre film that premiered at the Venice Film Festival, and later directed The Automatic Hate, an acclaimed indie drama exploring family estrangement and inherited trauma. Robin’s work often blends dark humor, emotional unease, and unconventional narrative structures to create singular cinematic experiences.
