About the filmmaker:
William Nunez is an American screenwriter, director, and producer who began his career working on television programs for CNN and MSNBC. He has directed a number of short films including Full Metal Racket (1989), which was nominated for the Palme d’Or for Best Short Film at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival, Fear of Man (1995), and Around the World in 90 Seconds (2006). His feature length directorial debut The Laureate (2021) earned a handful of festival awards upon its release, including Best Film at the 2022 Cannes Film Awards. Nunez’s newest film, The Conquerer: Hollywood Fallout (2024), explores one of the most infamous films of all time.
