High school student Sadie Harper and her younger sister Sawyer are reeling from the recent death of their mother and aren’t getting much support from their father, Will, a therapist who is dealing with his own pain. When a desperate patient unexpectedly shows up at their home seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity that preys on families and feeds on the suffering of its victims.
About the filmmaker:
Rob Savage is an award winning writer-director and 2013 Screen International Star of Tomorrow, working in shorts, features and commercials. He wrote, directed, shot, co-produced and edited micro-budget feature film Strings (2012) at age 18, which has screened at a number of international festivals. He created the critically acclaimed supernatural horror feature Host (2020) after a short prank skit went viral on social media. His next film, the inventive horror Dashcam (2021), premiered in the Midnight Madness selection at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival. Savage is a Berlinale Talent Campus alumnus and has received international recognition for his short films. Among others, Sit in Silence (2011) won the BFI Future Film Award and Dawn of the Deaf (2016) competed at Sundance in 2017.See our upcoming films
