World Premiere at the 2022 Venice International Film Festival where Martin McDonagh was awarded Best Screenplay and Colin Farrell was awarded Best Actor.

Set on a remote island off the west coast of Ireland, lifelong friends Pádraic and Colm find themselves at an impasse when Colm unexpectedly puts an end to their friendship. A stunned Pádraic, aided by his sister Siobhán and troubled young islander Dominic, endeavours to repair the relationship, refusing to take no for an answer. But Pádraic’s repeated efforts only strengthen his former friend’s resolve and when Colm delivers a desperate ultimatum, events swiftly escalate, with shocking consequences.

About the filmmaker:

Martin McDonagh is a British-Irish playwright, screenwriter, producer, and director. His plays have played in the West End, on Broadway, and in over 40 countries. He received four Tony Award nominations and won an Olivier Award for Best New Comedy for “The Lieutenant of Inishmore”, and two Olivier Awards for Best New Play for “The Pillowman” and “Hangmen”. In film, he wrote and directed the feature films In Bruges (2008), Seven Psychopaths (2012), the highly acclaimed Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri (2017), and The Banshees of Inisherin (2022). He won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film for Six Shooter in 2004 and has received nominations for three other Academy Awards.
