About the filmmaker:
Born and raised in New York City, Tony Stone has crafted stories blurring nonfiction and narrative filmmaking. He wrote, directed, edited and produced his 2009 debut film, Severed Ways: The Norse Discovery of America, a near-documentary on Norse explorers. His next film, Out of Our Minds, premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and screened at the Worldcon science fiction convention. His first true documentary was the award-winning Peter and the Farm about an aging, isolated Vermont farmer plotting his own suicide. With Melissa Auf der Maur, Stone co-founded Basilica Hudson, a massive industrial factory turned performance hall, hosting cutting edge film, music, and art.
Stone directed Ted K from a screenplay he co-wrote with Gaddy Davis and John Rosenthal.
