About the film:
Premiered at AFI Fest 2021. Set in the near future, Cameron, a loving husband and father, is expecting his second child with his wife Poppy. When Cameron is diagnosed with a terminal illness, his doctor presents an alternative solution to shield his family from grief. As he grapples with whether or not to alter his family’s fate, he learns more about life and love than he ever imagined.
About the filmmaker:
Cannes Young Director Award-winner Benjamin Cleary began his career in Dublin and completed his Screenwriting MA at London Film School. His directorial debut, the short film Stutterer, premiered at Venice Film Festival and earned the Academy Award for best Live Action Short in 2016, and his short film Wave premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival the following year. His virtual reality animation Glimpse premiered at Venice and won best experience awards at both Raindance and Sandbox, the largest VR Festival in China.
Swan Song is his feature directorial debut.
