About the film:

When her only daughter goes off to university, an empty nest mother gets stuck taking care of her daughter’s heart-broken ex-boyfriend, who she can’t stand.

About the filmmaker:

Linsey Stewart & Dane Clark met during their Writers’ Lab stint at the Canadian Film Centre. They became best friends, fell in love, wrote scripts, and now they’re married. To each other.

Together they’ve made several shorts, including LONG BRANCH and MARGO LILY, which were Short Of The Week winners/Vimeo Staff Picks. BICKFORD PARK, which premiered at TIFF, and they won a WGA Award for their AwesomenessTV web series THE COMMUTE.

They were named People To Watch by the Toronto Star and their first feature, the romantic comedic thriller I PUT A HIT ON YOU , premiered at Slamdance, was distributed by Mongrel and received NNNN’s in Now Magazine.

Their second feature SUZE, starring Michaela Watkins, won the Jury Award for Best Narrative Feature at Bentonville Film Festival, the Canadian Narrative Feature Award at Calgary International Film Festival, the Audience Choice Award at Available Light, the Audience Choice Award and Screenwriting Award at Annapolis Film Festival, was nominated for a WGC Screenplay Award and Charlie Gillespie was nominated for a Canadian Screen Award for Performance In A Supporting Role. Suze had its US premiere at Santa Barbara, was financed by Telefilm Canada and produced by Wildling Pictures. It’s distributed by Level Film in Canada and Tribeca Films in the US.
