About the film:

Official Selection of Sundance Film Festival and Berlinale 2020. Joseph is trapped in a soulless job, living a life devoid of emotion and meaning. After an impulsive act of rebellion unleashes a wilder version of himself, he is propelled on a reckless journey through London, ultimately experiencing what it feels like to be alive.

About the filmmaker:

Aneil Karia is an award-winning filmmaker known for his emotive and memorable short films and series, including the BAFTA-nominated Work, the intense 12-minute The Long Goodbye with Riz Ahmed, the opening block of Channel 4’s series Pure, and the closing three episodes of Netflix’s Top Boy. Karia worked with Ben Wishaw on the award-winning short film BEAT, and they teamed up again for Karia’s debut feature film Surge, which earned Wishaw a Special Jury Award for Acting at Sundance.
