About the filmmaker:
JT Mollner is an American filmmaker who began his career by directing number of award winning shorts including Henry John and the Little Bug (2009), Sugartown (2011), and Flowers in December (2015). He is a well-known proponent of shooting movies on film, and in 2017 he became the first ever recipient of the Kodak Auteur Award. His feature length directorial debut, Outlaws and Angels (2016), premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival and was shot entirely on 35mm film. Strange Darling (2024), Mollner’s sophomore feature film, premiered at the 2023 Fantastic Fest to glowing critical reviews and went on to win the Bucheon Choice Award for Best Director at the 2023 Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival.
