About the filmmaker:
Michael Angelo Covino is an actor and filmmaker. His feature directorial debut, The Climb (2020) had its world premiere at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section, where it was acquired by Sony Pictures Classics. Covino’s second feature film Splitsville (2025) premiered at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. Both were co-written with Kyle Marvin.
