About the filmmaker:
James Watkins is an English film director who is best known for his work in horror films. His directorial debut was the cult classic horror film Eden Lake (2008), which he followed up with The Woman In Black (2012), an adaptation of the novel by Susan Hill, featuring Daniel Radcliffe in his first role following the conclusion of the Harry Potter franchise. Watkins also directed an episode of the Emmy winning show Black Mirror titled “Shut Up and Dance” (2016). Watkins’ most recent feature, Speak No Evil (2024), is a remake of the 2022 Danish film of the same name.
