About the film:
Four adolescent girls each spend their youth in the same farmhouse over the last century. Though separated by decades, resonances between their lives emerge: their desires and distress, secrets and truths, encounters with another’s gaze and defiant gaze in return.
About the filmmaker:
Mascha Schilinski is a Berlin-born German director and screenwriter known for her evocative, multi-generational storytelling. After studying screenwriting at the Filmschule Hamburg Berlin and directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg, she made her feature debut with Die Tochter (2017), which premiered at the Berlinale.
Her second feature, Sound of Falling (2025), won the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival and was selected as Germany’s submission for the Best International Feature Film at the 2026 Oscars, establishing her as a bold new voice in contemporary cinema.
