Signe and Thomas are in an unhealthy, competitive relationship that takes a vicious turn when Thomas suddenly breaks through as a contemporary artist. In response, Signe makes a desperate attempt to regain her status by creating a new persona hell-bent on attracting attention and sympathy.

About the filmmaker:

Kristoffer Borgli is a writer and director from Norway, currently living in Pasadena, California. Among other projects, his short film Whateverest (2012) was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2012 AFI Fest, his short film Former Cult Member Hears Music For The First Time (2020) was part of the official selection at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival, and his feature film Sick of Myself (2023) premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. He is currently working on an A24 feature starring Nicolas Cage, called Dream Scenario.
