About the filmmaker:
Tina Romero is a filmmaker, DJ, professor, and daughter of horror icon George A. Romero. She completed her undergraduate studies in Cinema and Media Studies at Wellesley College and holds an MFA in Film Production from NYU Tisch. Her shorts and music videos have screened internationally, and she is the Director of the George A. Romero Foundation. Romero makes her feature debut with Queens of the Dead (2025), a socially charged horror film set in Brooklyn nightlife, which marks her first full-length entry into a genre long associated with her father—but crafted with her own voice and sensibility.
