About the filmmaker:
David Gordon Green is an American filmmaker. Before relaunching the Halloween franchise with Halloween (2018), he directed the dramas George Washington (2000), All the Real Girls (2003), and Snow Angels (2007), as well as the thriller Undertow (2004), all of which he wrote or co-wrote. In 2008, Green transitioned into comedy, directing the films Pineapple Express (2008), Your Highness (2011) and The Sitter (2011). He returned to his dramatic roots with the independent films Prince Avalanche (2014) and Joe (2013), followed by the films Manglehorn (2014), Our Brand Is Crisis (2015), and Stronger (2017). His films have won awards at major film festivals, including Sundance, Venice, Berlin, and Toronto.
