About the filmmaker:
Celine Song is a Korean-Canadian director, playwright, and screenwriter based in the United States. Her directorial debut Past Lives (2023) premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. Among her plays are “The Seagull on The Sims 4” and “Endlings”, which received its world premiere in 2019 at American Repertory Theater and had its New York premiere in 2020 at New York Theatre Workshop. She has been a finalist for the Susan Smith Blackburn Prize and a semifinalist for the American Playwriting Foundation’s Relentless Award. Celine also wrote on the first season of Amazon’s Wheel of Time. She received her MFA in play writing from Columbia University.
