About the filmmaker:
Cole Webley is an American filmmaker known for his emotionally grounded, character-driven storytelling. After building a career directing commercials and short films, he made his feature debut with Omaha (2026), which premiered in the U.S. Dramatic Competition at the Sundance Film Festival. The film, a deeply empathetic portrait of a father and his children navigating hardship during the Great Recession, established Webley as a promising new voice in independent cinema. Prior to his feature work, he directed award-winning short films and commercial projects, bringing a strong visual sensibility and humanistic focus to his storytelling.
