Ben Wheatley is a British filmmaker known for his bold, genre-blending work that combines dark humor, striking visuals, and psychological intensity. He gained recognition with films such as Kill List (2011) and Sightseers (2012), and went on to direct High-Rise (2015), an adaptation of J. G. Ballard’s novel, and the action film Free Fire (2016). Wheatley’s work often defies convention, moving fluidly between horror, crime, and satire while exploring violence, power, and social breakdown.
