About the filmmakers:
The first American to helm a Bond film, Cary Joji Fukunaga is known for his global perspective and deep interest in the humanity of his characters. After his debut feature Sin Nombre won two awards at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, he directed the 2011 adaptation of Jane Eyre and the 2015 feature Beasts of No Nation which he also wrote, produced, and shot. He directed season one of HBO’s True Detective, Netflix’s Maniac, and several episodes of Apple TV+’s upcoming Band of Brothers sequel, Masters of the Air.
No Time to Die is Daniel Craig’s final film in the iconic role. With a script co-written with Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Fukunaga felt he had a tremendous amount of freedom to reinterpret the character. Read more here.
