Maddie thinks she’s found the answer to her financial troubles when she discovers an intriguing job listing: wealthy helicopter parents looking for someone to “date” their introverted 19-year-old son, Percy, and bring him out of his shell before he leaves for college. But awkward Percy proves to be more of a challenge than she expected, and time is running out. She has one summer to make him a man or lose it all.

Gene Stupnitsky is a Ukrainian-born American film and television writer and producer who primarily works on comedies. His directorial debut Good Boys (2019) premiered at SXSW. No Hard Feelings (2023), his second feature film, is produced by and starring Jennifer Lawrence.
Stupnitsky founded Quantity Entertainment with his regular collaborator, writer and producer Lee Eisenberg. The two co-wrote Year One (2009) with director Harold Ramis and Bad Teacher (2011) directed by Jake Kasdan. Their work in television includes writing, producing, and directing on the NBC comedy series The Office and serving as executive producers on the ABC series Trophy Wife and the CBS series Bad Teacher based on their original screenplay. Along with Stephen Merchant, they also created, executive produced, and wrote for the HBO series Hello Ladies.
