About the filmmaker:
Brian Taylor is a director, cinematographer, writer, and producer from California. Taylor attended UCLA and had brief stints as a punk musician before working as a cinematographer on a short film and the 2002 low-budget action comedy The Keys. Taylor has worked in a variety of roles on film sets— he was a second unit director on The Real Deal (2002), created visual effects for Biker Boyz (2003), and was an executive producer for the short The Great Pretenders (2007). He has worked extensively with fellow filmmaker Mark Neveldine—the pair worked together to write, produce, and direct Crank (2006) and its sequel Crank: High Voltage (2009), as well as Gamer (2009) and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (2011). Mom & Dad (2017) is the first feature film Taylor has written and directed independently.
