A desperate mother has designed a strange plan to help her son. The young man suffers from a destructive fantasy life revolving around death and violence. In order to change these disturbing obsessions, he engages in his mother’s self-devised therapy program. When a young neighbor is enlisted in this program without her knowledge, things start to fall apart.

About the filmmaker:
Frédéric Hambalek is a German screenwriter and director. He majored in film studies and American studies at Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz. He has written a number of celebrated scripts for German TV and film. As a director, his short films have played at numerous international festivals, and his short film Bergfieber (2016) was nominated for Vimeo’s Best of the Year Award. His first feature film Model Olimpia (2020) was nominated for Best First Feature at the 2020 Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
