About the film:
Megadoc is a riveting behind-the-scenes chronicle of Francis Ford Coppola’s long-gestating passion project, Megalopolis. Directed by Mike Figgis, the film captures the director’s bold, sometimes chaotic vision—self-financing a $120 million retro-futurist epic shaped by Rome’s legacy and modern societal anxieties. Figgis’s cameras roll through tense production moments: dramatic crew changes, creative clashes, and Coppola’s improvisational genius at work. Featuring the film’s high-profile cast and revealing off-camera drama, Megadoc paints an unfiltered portrait of one of cinema’s most fearless storytellers, offering a candid glimpse into the struggles and artistic fervor behind realizing a long-held cinematic dream.
