Paul Thomas Anderson is one of the most celebrated American filmmakers working today. He is known for his bold visual style, flawed characters, and frequent collaborations with actors and musicians. A regular at film festivals around the world, Anderson has won Best Director at Cannes for Punch-Drunk Love (2002), Berlin for There Will Be Blood (2007), and Venice for The Master (2012). His other phenomenal projects include his debut feature Hard Eight (1996), Boogie Nights (1997), Magnolia (1999), Inherent Vice (2014), Phantom Thread (2017), and Licorice Pizza (2021). Anderson’s tenth feature film, One Battle After Another (2025), was nominated for 13 Academy Awards and won six, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Adapted Screenplay.
