About the film:
Humbert Humbert is a middle-aged British novelist who is both appalled by and attracted to the vulgarity of American culture. When he comes to stay at the boarding house run by Charlotte Haze, he soon becomes obsessed with Lolita, the woman’s teenaged daughter. After Charlotte’s sudden death, Humbert has Lolita all to himself—or does he?
“Unusual, innovative, strikingly original, and compelling from start to finish, this is an adaptation that is worthy of the original material and Stanley Kubrick at his best.”
—Monica Reid, Far Out Magazine
