Winner of the 2022 GCAC Columbus Makes Art Excellence Award, Life Stories features two groups of women serving life or long sentences at The Ohio Reformatory for Women. The storytellers who speak on their journeys and the media crew who capture the intimate stories of their incarcerated sisters.

This premiere will be the first showing of the full documentary, co-produced by award-winning filmmaker, Nikki Swift and WAV’s Director of Storytelling TieraDPhoto. This exhibit is in collaboration with the Otterbein University Arts Administration Program, led by Jessie Glover.

These stories are powerful and moving, and they offer a unique glimpse into the lives of women who are often disregarded. The purpose of this showing is to promote understanding and connection between the community outside the walls and the often misunderstood world incarcerated people live in.

We are grateful to these women for sharing their stories, and we hope that you will listen to them with an open heart.
