Bill Condon (born October 22, 1955) is an American director and screenwriter known for acclaimed films like Gods and Monsters, Kinsey, and Dreamgirls, winning an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for Gods and Monsters. He also wrote the screenplay for Chicago and directed Beauty and the Beast, Mr. Holmes, and the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn films. A graduate of Columbia University and a former film journalist, Condon has a diverse filmography spanning dramas, musicals, and blockbusters.
