About the filmmaker:
Daphné Baiwir is a Belgian director who began in the film industry as a model and actress with roles in over 20 films. She directed several short films, including her debut film Danse Funèbre (2013) and C’est Toi le Chat! (2017) which was selected in competition at the Uppsala Film Festival in Sweden. As a documentary filmmaker, she spent a month in prison to film Beyond Bars (2015), and directed Deauville and the American Dream (2020). Her film The Rebellious Olivia de Havilland (2001) was an Official Selection at the Cannes Film Festival.
