About the filmmaker:
Colin Trevorrow was raised in Oakland, California, where he began making short films at the age of 12. He attended New York University’s Tisch School for the Arts and worked as an intern at Saturday Night Live. His directorial debut was Safety Not Guaranteed (2012) which won Best First Feature at the Independent Spirit Awards and Grand Jury Prize nominations at the Sundance Film Festival. Trevorrow wrote the screenplay for all three films in the Jurassic World franchise but has not directed an entry until the first film in the series, Jurassic World (2015).
