Milton lives a quiet life of routine in a small western Pennsylvania town, but finds his day upended when a UFO and its extra-terrestrial passenger crash land in his backyard. Before long, Milton develops a close relationship with the extra-terrestrial he calls “Jules.” Things become complicated when two neighbors discover Jules and the government quickly closes in. What follows is a funny, wildly inventive ride as the three neighbors find meaning and connection later in life – thanks to this unlikely stranger.

About the filmmaker:

Marc Turtletaub is an American film producer and director. Before he was a filmmaker, Turtletaub was a financial executive and the former CEO of The Money Store. He founded the Los Angeles-based Big Beach Films in 2004 and directed three feature films: an adaption of the 2007 satirical novel Gods Behaving Badly (2013), Edinburgh Film Festival selection Puzzle (2018), and the award-winning Jules (2023). Turtletaub has also produced numerous acclaimed films, including The Farewell (2019)A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood (2019)Loving (2016), Safety Not Guaranteed (2012), Jack Goes Boating (2010), and Little Miss Sunshine (2006).
