The Hollywood Reporter

About the filmmaker:

Chad Stahelski is a prolific stunt double and stunt coordinator who made his directorial debut with the 2014 action film John Wick (2014), praised for its stylish action sequences and strong storytelling. After spending his teens and early twenties competing as a kick-boxer, Stahelski landed roles in low-budget films before putting his skills to good use as a stunt double. His success as Brandon Lee’s double in cult classic The Crow (1994) made him one of Hollywood’s most in-demand stunt doubles, working on projects like Alien: Resurrection (1997), Wild Wild West (1999), and as Keanu Reeves’ stunt double in The Matrix (1999) and its sequels. After that, Stahelski expanded his skillset and started landing stunt coordinator jobs on films like Rambo (2008), The Expendables (2010), and various films in The Hunger Games franchise. He has since directed all four films in the John Wick franchise.
