About the filmmaker:
Tyler MacIntyre is a Canadian genre filmmaker. In 2015, his feature film Patchwork won Screamfest Awards for Best Editing and Best Picture, and the Toronto After Dark Film Festival awards for Best Actress and Film Most Want to See A Sequel To. His follow-up Tragedy Girls (2017) won Best Film at FrightFest and screened at SXSW and the Sitges Film Festival. Among other work, he also directed an episode of the horror anthology series Into the Dark in 2020 and a segment of the found-footage horror anthology film V/H/S/99 (2022), which premiered in Toronto Film Festival’s wild Midnight Madness category.
Written by Freaky (2020) scribe Michael Kennedy, MacIntyre’s latest creation It’s a Wonderful Knife (2023) – a slasher spin on the Christmas classic It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) – premiered at L.A.’s Beyond Fest 2023.
