About the film:

About the filmmaker:
Lucile Emina Hadžihalilović is a French director and screenwriter of Bosnian descent known for her dreamlike, unsettling work. She studied art history and film at IDHEC (now La Fémis). Her early short “La Bouche de Jean-Pierre” premiered in Un Certain Regard at Cannes in 1996. Her feature films Innocence (2004), Evolution (2015), and Earwig (2021) have earned critical acclaim for their visual beauty, psychological intensity, and exploration of childhood, identity, and isolation. Her latest film The Ice Tower (2025) continues her distinctive style and deepening mastery of eerie, atmospheric storytelling.
