About the filmmaker:
Michelle Garza Cervera is a Mexican director and screenwriter. She graduated from Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica in Mexico City. She was awarded a Chevening scholarship in the United Kingdom and completed an M.F.A in Directing at Goldsmiths University. Her shorts have been selected in over a hundred film festivals around the world. Her feature debut Huesera: The Bone Woman (2023), co-written with Abia Castillo, premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival where it won the Best New Narrative Director and Nora Ephron awards.
