About the film:
After the sudden death of his father, a powerful Indian businessman at the center of London’s nouveau riche elite, Hamlet returns home after years away. Struggling with grief and suspicion, he begins to experience unsettling visions of his father, who claims he was murdered by his own brother, Claudius. As Hamlet is drawn deeper into a web of betrayal, ambition, and family intrigue, he wrestles with the burden of revenge and the moral cost of exposing the truth.



About the filmmaker:
Aneil Karia is a British filmmaker and director known for his bold, character-driven storytelling across film and television. He first gained major recognition with his short film The Long Goodbye (2020), starring Riz Ahmed, which won the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film. Karia went on to direct acclaimed projects including Surge (2020), a visceral character study that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, and the BAFTA-winning television film Help (2021). Known for his kinetic style and emotional intensity, Karia continues to explore contemporary social themes, including with his adaptation of Hamlet (2026).
