About the filmmaker:

Adam Wingard is an American filmmaker well known for his work on many popular horror films. He has had several short films appear in popular horror anthologies, including the segments “Tape 56” in V/H/S (2012), “Q is for Quack” in The ABCs of Death (2012), and “Phase I Clinical Trials” in V/H/S/2 (2013). His film The Guest (2014) premiered at Sundance Film Festival and was nominated for Best Editing at the Film Independent Spirit Awards. In 2016, Wingard directed Blair Witch, a reboot of The Blair Witch Project (1996), which was a box office success. The success of Blair Witch (2016) made Wingard an appealing name to studios, presenting him with the opportunity to direct Legendary Pictures/Warner Bros.’s Godzilla vs. Kong (2021), which won the Saturn Award for Best Special Effects. Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024) is the newest installment of Legendary Pictures’ “MonsterVerse” featuring King Kong and Godzilla.
