About the filmmakers:
Kelly O’Sullivan is an American writer, director, and actor. She is best known for her roles as Bella in Cha Cha Real Smooth (2022) and Candice Noble in Henry Gamble’s Birthday Party (2015). O’Sullivan has directed two short films, My Summer Vacation (2022) and Ladies’ Night (2017), the latter of which she co-directed alongside Carly Olson. She starred as Bridget in Saint Frances (2019)—a film which she also wrote, and which was directed by Ghostlight (2024) co-director Alex Thompson. Ghostlight (2024) is O’Sullivan’s feature-length directorial debut.
Alex Thompson is an American writer, director, and producer best known for directing the film Saint Frances (2019)—a film was celebrated during its festival run, receiving accolades such as the Audience Award for HBO Outstanding First Narrative Feature at L.A. Outfest. Thompson’s second directorial feat Rounding (2022) premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and went on to win the Grand Jury Prize for Best Graveyard Shift Feature at Nashville Film Festival. Ghostlight (2023), the third feature-length film that Thompson has directed, premiered at Sundance Film Festival.
