About the filmmaker:
Sébastien Vaniček is a French filmmaker and screenwriter whose visceral, socially conscious approach to horror has established him as one of the genre’s most exciting new voices. After directing several acclaimed short films, he broke through internationally with his feature debut, Infested (Vermines, 2023), which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and earned Best Director honors at Fantastic Fest. His success led to his selection to write and direct Evil Dead Burn, the latest installment in the legendary Evil Dead franchise.
