The performances have become legendary to Eric Clapton fans. Over thirty years later this film, edited from the original footage and completely remastered in Dolby Surround Sound, captures for the first time the definitive performances across all the sets over both years. The film features 17 hits from across his repertoires showing Clapton at his most exhilarating, collaborating with top musicians.
About the filmmaker:
David Barnard is a Grammy-nominated independent filmmaker who specializes in collaborations with some of the world’s finest artists. He has helmed television programs, live concert broadcasts and feature films. His acclaimed concert films include Gorillaz: Live in Manchester (2006), Distant Sky: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Live in Copenhagen (2018), and Eric Clapton: Across 24 Nights (2023). Since the early 1990s, he has worked with a wide range of artists such as Radiohead, Neil Sedaka, Pet Shop Boys, Alice Cooper, Travis, Dido, Spice Girls, Björk, Eurythmics, and more. He also directed episodes of the web series From the Basement (2007) featuring live musical performances in a studio environment.
